Hey Bruce, you need to get Bobby Brack to give you some of his pictures to put on here. After all, he was one of the best drivers from South Florida.

I love the old race car pictures!!! I grew up on the east cost of Florida going to Golden Gate, Auburndale, Sunshine, Ocala, both Lake City, Volusia and East Bay and loved every night at each track, well not when it got rained out. I’ve been to Hialeah and New Smyrna Speedways once each as well. I love short track racing, dirt or asphalt, it’s in my blood and it will stay till I die. There are so many great tracks in Florida that I have been to; I hope one day I’ll go to every one of them at lease once!

Love the site keep and keep the old pictures coming.

hi there. i just found out about this website, and i killed two days worth of lunch hours riding down memory lane. i went to Hialeah speedway since the 60's and my brothers raced the Metal Man monte carlo (#4) in street stocks from the mid 70's til the late 80's. i have forwarded the link to them in the hope they can send some of their pics to be posted here. i raced in Run what ya Brung class a few times and loved everything about the track. my dad used to take us to hollywood for the drags and also the oval track there.

Good site, enjoyed the pictures.
Interested in anything about Boynton Beach Speedway where Go Karts and Micro Midgets ran in the late fifties-early sixties. We raced Karts there briefly in 1960. Also any information on South Speed Shop in Boynton Beach.

Great site, love all the photos.
I lived in FL briefly in 1960. We lived in Boynton Beach and raced Go-Karts at the local kart track west of town. There also was a speed shop in town called South Speed Shop. I was in the 7 th grade at the time and recall only some bits about the place. We bought Kart speed parts there. There always was a white '49-'51 Ford modified at the shop. I'd like to know if anyone has moemories and photos of both the shop and the Boynton track. Thanks.
